Help for General Practice Nurses in financial difficulty

By Joanna SagnellaFebruary 12, 2021No Comments

The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) has a financial assistance programme that can help General Practice Nurses, community nurses, health visitors, and other nurses in the community and social care who have been financially impacted by a life-changing event, illness, or who face a loss of income.

We look at every case on an individual basis and in 2020 we helped 100 nurses in financial difficulty, working and retired, who needed our help.

Most nurses who receive help from the QNI are going through a time of personal crisis. This may include physical or mental illness, trying to escape domestic abuse, or experiencing other life crises, such as eviction, family health problems, marriage breakdown or bereavement. It also includes the current Covid-19 pandemic, (for example if you are having to self-isolate due to Covid-19 and your income (or family income) has been severely reduced) please get in touch we may be able to help.

To find out more go to the QNI’s main website here, or email Justine.curtis@qni.org.uk

Please note we cannot help nurses in Scotland, instead please contact QNI Scotland.
