Education is vital to improving wound care and the National Wound Care Strategy Programme, in partnership with Health Education England, have developed a suite of free to access wound care education resources, including the National Wound Care Core Capabilities Framework for England which sets out the requisite wound care knowledge and skills that the patient-facing workforce requires, across 3 tiers. This framework received endorsement from the QNI and RCN. They have also developed free to access, quality online resources which have been written by wound care experts and are continuously updated in line with new recommendations and best evidence.
